Online psychiatric medication management
Prescribing done carefully, explained clearly, and adjusted based on how you are actually doing — not on a schedule set in advance.
What this looks like in practice
Medication management is more than writing a prescription. It starts with understanding your symptoms, history, what you have already tried, and what has and has not helped. From there, options get discussed openly — including the option of not starting a medication yet.
Steven works toward the least amount of medication that genuinely helps. If something is not working, it gets changed. If a side effect is unacceptable to you, that matters and it gets addressed.
The process
How prescribing decisions get made
Understand the picture
Symptoms, timeline, sleep, stress, physical health, past treatment and what you are hoping changes.
Talk through the options
What might help, what it may feel like, what side effects can occur, and how long it typically takes before anyone can judge whether it is working.
Choose together
You are part of the decision. If you are uneasy about a particular medication, say so — that is useful information, not an obstacle.
Start and monitor
The prescription goes to your usual pharmacy. Follow-up visits check how you are responding and whether anything needs adjusting.
Adjust as needed
Doses change, medications get swapped, and some are stopped. Treatment is reviewed as your situation changes rather than left on autopilot.

Questions
About medication
Will I be pressured to start a medication?
No. Medication is one option among several. Some people work with Steven for therapy alone, and some decide to wait. The point of the conversation is to help you make an informed choice.
Can prescriptions be handled in a virtual visit?
Many can, and they are sent electronically to the pharmacy you already use. Certain categories of medication carry additional requirements or restrictions, and Steven will tell you directly if something cannot be prescribed this way in your situation.
How often are follow-up appointments?
It depends on what you are taking and how you are responding. Visits are usually more frequent when starting or changing something, and can space out once things are stable.
I already take medication. Can Steven continue it?
Often yes. Bring your current medications and doses to the first appointment so continuity can be planned rather than improvised.
