Transferring your care

If your provider left, stopped taking your insurance, or the fit was wrong, moving your care does not have to mean starting over.

A common reason people arrive here

Providers retire, practices go private pay, insurance networks change, and sometimes a working relationship simply does not fit. None of that is a reflection on you, and none of it means your progress resets.

Steven regularly takes on people already in treatment. The goal in the first appointment is continuity: understanding what you are on, what has worked, what has not, and keeping things stable while care moves over.

Making the move

How a transfer usually goes

01

Book a first appointment

Schedule through Headway as a new patient. Note in the booking that you are transferring care so time can be allowed for history.

02

Bring your current regimen

Medication names, doses and how long you have been on them. A photo of the bottles is the easiest way to get this exactly right.

03

Cover what came before

What has been tried, what helped, what caused side effects, and what you never want to try again. This history is genuinely valuable — it saves repeating dead ends.

04

Plan continuity

Steven will discuss what continues as is and what, if anything, is worth revisiting. Nothing changes without talking about it first.

Do not let your prescriptions lapse while you wait

Try to schedule before you run out. If a gap is unavoidable, mention it when booking so it can be factored in, and contact your current prescriber or pharmacy about a short bridge supply.

Two ways forward

You do not have to be certain to take a step

Some people are ready to put an appointment on the calendar. Others want to understand the details first. Both are welcome here.

If you are ready

Start your booking

Headway is where appointments, insurance and billing are handled. You will see current availability, add your insurance for a cost estimate, and choose a time that works.

Book an appointment

A short contact step comes first, then Steven’s live Headway schedule.

If you have questions first

Ask before you commit

Plenty of people want to understand how virtual care works, whether their plan is accepted, or what a first appointment is like before booking anything. Send a short note and we will answer.

Ask a question

No appointment required. Please leave out medical details.

Next step

Take the next step when you feel ready

If you would like to schedule, Headway handles booking, insurance and billing. If you have questions first, send them over and we will get back to you.
